Gamigo Now Requires Trove And RIFT Players To Link Their Glyph And Steam Accounts

Gamigo looks to be streamlining its publishing operations after it handed off several MMOs in its purview to other studios. If you’re a RIFT or Trove player, the publisher is now hoping to “improve your gaming experience” by requiring you to link your Glyph and Steam accounts if you want to continue playing.
“By linking your Steam and Glyph accounts, you’ll be able to claim your purchased DLCs and use vouchers without any technical issues. Plus, it’ll give us the ability to provide better and more secure customer support,” explained Gamigo.
Over the past few months, the German publisher has trimmed its portfolio down from 24 games in 2020 to just a handful of live service games, including RIFT, Trove, Fiesta Online (NA), Desert Operations, Fantasy Town, and Wargame 1942. Of its six remaining titles, only Trove and Fiesta Online seems to be getting regular updates.
While it’s definitely been a rough year for the video game industry in general, Gamigo seems to have had it rougher than most companies. With its recent downsizing and a shrinking roster of games, the big question on the gaming community’s mind is whether the company will be able to pull through or will it eventually throw in the towel?
