Tantra Online Is Being Remastered As Trimurti Online, Open Alpha Test Now Underway

Yet another classic MMORPG is coming back to life as Uruguayan indie developer GameOlic remasters Tantra Online and rebrands it as Trimurti Online. The remaster is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 but uses old models and assets, which the studio says was intentionally done to give it a classic and nostalgic vibe.
It looks like GameOlic has largely stayed true to the original Indian mythology-inspired game in terms of content, with a few changes thrown in t to “make it more fun”. That includes new features, new ways to play, and a no cash shop philosophy. Apart from that, it promises the same solo and party quests, world bosses, raids, and PvP activities like guild wars and PvP arenas.
“Relive the classic gameplay of an old-school MMORPG. Select a class that suits your style and join your friends to explore the vast world of Trimurti Online. Enhance your equipment and maximize your skills to complete quests, confront monsters and bosses, conquer dungeons, and fight other players!”
On the subject of new features, the remaster’s latest alpha update introduced new loot and unique drops for bosses in Jina and Shambala, the Shambala Bulletin subjugation quests, homing projectiles, and more.
The studio is currently running an Open Alpha test until December 20th. Invited testers will get the chance to try out all eight playable tribes, tribe skills and items, the party system, and the Mandara dungeon. You can sign-up for the alpha test by clicking on the “Request Access” button on the Trimurti Online Steam page. Official launch is slated for Valentine’s Day 2024.
