Classic 2000s MMO Tantra Online Returns as “Kathana” on Steam
Nearly two decades after its original 2005 launch, the Hindu-mythology themed MMORPG Tantra Online is back in circulation, this time under the name Kathana on Steam. While the original version was developed by South Korea’s HanbitSoft, the new build is handled by Uruguayan based GameOlic. Tantra Online found a niche audience in the mid-2000s thanks to its eight-class system and large-scale player-versus-player battles, hallmarks of Korean free-to-play MMOs of that era.
