Throne and Liberty executive producer Ahn Jong-ok has penned a new letter to the community as a follow-up to last weeks South Korean launch showcase. In the letter, Ahn offered more information and clarification on some of the more noteworthy game features that were highlighted during the showcase, with particular emphasis on pets, mounts, PvP, and the PvPvE hunting grounds.

On the subject of pets, a.k.a Amitois, and mounts, Ahn says that the pet and mount systems will not have a rank system regardless of whether they were earned in-game or purchased through the cash shop. He also said that players won’t need to purchase pets or mounts to complete related collection books. He further reiterates that team’s commitment to ensuring that Throne and Liberty will never be pay-to-win.

Ahn also touched on the subject of PvP, saying that there will be no open-world PvP in the game except during PvPvE hunting ground events. For those who’d rather not engage in PvP at all, he says that the team is currently working on alternative but equally rewarding activities in all areas of the game.

He concludes the letter with confirmation that they’ll be showcasing Throne and Liberty at G-Star 2023 later this month. The showcase will offer a preview of a single-player and a six-player dungeon and a guild raid. The Korean gaming convention will be held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center from November 16th to November 19th.
