Throne and Liberty’s Biggest Patch Yet "Solisium’s Awakening" Lets Players Build, Battle, and Level Faster

Amazon Games is pushing hard to keep its still-new MMORPG Throne and Liberty in the conversation. Tomorrow’s “Solisium’s Awakening” patch arrives on September 18, and it is easily the game’s most ambitious update since launch. Players are getting a proper housing system, a new Orb weapon that focuses on area control, and 24-versus-24 Battlegrounds designed to shake up end-game PvP. The studio is also introducing “Hyperboost” servers that drastically speed up early progression in an effort to tempt old and brand-new players alike to give the game a chance.

Throne and Liberty debuted earlier this year as a free-to-play, cross-platform MMO that leans on large-scale sieges and weather-driven combat gimmicks. While the core is solid, some fans felt progression was too slow and the economic loop too grindy. “Solisium’s Awakening” tries to answer those critiques by doubling down on convenience features, fresh gear tiers, and revamped challenge modes.

Main additions at a glance

  • Hyperboost servers – Optional fresh-start realms and account-wide missions that push characters to 6,000 combat power far more quickly.
  • Player housing – 24 plot locations across two villages, four house sizes, a full furniture-crafting loop, and social visit options.
  • Orb weapon line – Summon up to three floating spheres that can shield allies or debuff enemies; restricted to one user per Arena or Battleground team.
  • 24v24 Battlegrounds – Conquest-style mode “Giant’s Cityscape” launches the new queue, with ranked play coming after the preseason.
  • Tier 3 gear – Weapons, armor, and accessories now drop across dungeons, trials, and PvP with halved Growthstone costs compared to Tier 2.
  • Dimensional Trial overhaul – Weekly leaderboards, selectable affixes, and two fresh heroic trials: Colossal Coliseum and Fate’s Abyss.
  • Path of Ascension & Path of the Stars – Streamlined, step-by-step guides that dish out mastery points, runes, and gear recommendations as you level.
  • Achievement system – Track and display points for exploration, crafting, and combat milestones.
  • Quality-of-life passes – Overhauled main menu, gathering rework, fall-damage tweaks, and PlayStation 5 memory optimizations.
