Amazon’s Throne And Liberty Will Apparently Be Free-To-Play

In a never-ending saga of delays and beta tests, Throne and Liberty enthusiasts have found themselves scouring the corners of the interwebs for information about NCSoft’s highly-awaited MMORPG. In their quest for knowledge, eagle-eyed Redditors have stumbled upon a surprise but very welcome discovery.

Hiding in plain sight among Amazon’s collection of games is a recently-added “Coming Soon” banner for Thrones and Liberty that clearly labels it as a free-to-play MMORPG. This is the first real piece of information that we have on the western port aside from the fact that Amazon will be publishing it. Neither NCsoft nor Amazon has been particularly forthcoming with information either and most of the information that we have so far came from Korean press releases or investor calls.

Also included in Amazon’s list of upcoming free-to-play games is the western version of Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol, but you’ve probably known that for a while now. Blue Protocol is set to launch in the west sometime this year while Thrones and Liberty will be coming our way in the second half of 2023.
