Throne and Liberty Wants To Gather Feedback On Autoplay For Western Release

Throne and Liberty’s western launch may have been delayed to 2024, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be getting hands on access to the game in some form or another prior to its official release.
The first such chance will come this month with a big technical test where the team will be gathering data and feedback on all of the changes and adjustments they’ve made to the western version, including major changes to PvP and plans to remove the auto-play feature altogether.
“A lot of the feedback we get is around players getting into the game and starting to feel comfortable with their abilities. And then when they activate autoplay, they feel like it breaks the immersion in the experience,” Global Producer Merv Lee Kwai said.
Kwai added that they want to test a version without the auto-play feature to see how the game plays without it or find some sort of middle ground. The team isn’t ready to confirm anything just yet as the game is still in “full development”. Don’t expect testers to reveal anything either as the upcoming technical test will be covered by an NDA.
Also, it looks like the 2024 launch window isn’t set in stone just yet. “Our goal right now is to improve the quality of the game and get it to a point where we feel very satisfied. So we’re going to take as long as it takes to get to that point,” he said.
