The Old Republic Holding Massive Cosplay Contest At New York Comic Con

Bioware want to make this Comic Con memorable for fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic. In order to promote the upcoming expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire, they will be holding a massive cosplay contest on October 8th at the New York Comic Con. It will be a free event for everyone. The event will be streamed live at 8 PM EST on the official The Old Republic Twitch channel on October 8th. Participants have to send in a variety of info in advance by October 5th. You can find the details at the link above. Everyone else needs only to show up.

Costumes will be judged on a scale of 100 points, with 25 devoted to each of four categories: Creativity, Detail/Craftsmanship, Cohesive Theme, and Overall Presentation. Only the top three contestants will win. These three will go on to win an impressive set of rewards, including upwards of $500 on an Amazon Gift Card and a year of subscription time. Other prizes include in-game mounts and immediate unlocks for various strongholds. As you can tell, most of the prizes can be directly awarded to the contestants' accounts but the $500 Amazon Gift Card for first place is no small prize, either.
