The Gorgonides Launch A Sneak Attack In Skyforge Following An "Unfortunate Misunderstanding"

Things don't always go according to plan. The Reaper Invasion that was supposed to take place in Skyforge is one such thing. According to the news post, "The Reaper Invasion has been postponed due to an unfortunate misunderstanding that would have resulted in players not being able to make progress on many of the Invasion features including Operations and the Reaper Atlas." In its place is an impromptu Gorgonide Invasion.

The story of this invasion is that the Gorgonides have made a pact with the Reapers and are launching a sneak attack on Aelion. The Immortals of Aelion don't yet know the extent of the Gorgonides' power or how their technology works. But fighting them could result in "the chance to win powerful rewards."

The previously announced Reaper Invasion will return at a later date. In the meantime, players are tasked with fighting off the Gorgonides before the Reapers arrive.
