The next phase of testing has begun for Tencent’s Tarisland, at least in China anyway, but it does give us an inkling of what to expect in the fantasy MMORPG’s next global beta test. That includes making Inscribed Stone Energy untradable due to the “imbalances” it caused and pay-to-win concerns.

Other changes made in the Chinese playtest include added restrictions to craftable equipment, increased outputs from crafting, faster armor set acquisition, and normalized stats in 3v3 arenas. Tencent has also increased the amount of gold coins from various activities in response to feedback that it was being too stingy with its rewards.

“Based on the current in-game settings, players can receive 100 gold coins via daily game activity, earn up to 6,000 gold coins from quests/achievements/exploration, and get 2,000 gold coins from the seven-day goal event,” the studio said.

Tencent also reminds testers that the latest build doesn’t reflect the final product and that they should set their expectations appropriately. “Please note that Tarisland is still in the testing phase, and all graphics, values, pricing, and naming do not represent the final quality of the game, so keep this in mind when discussing the latest content from the test.”

There’s no word on when the next global beta test will be, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
