The Tarisland dev team has dropped a new video that talks about the not-a-WoW-clone’s in-game economy, and more importantly, its business model.

Tencent maintains that they won’t be selling pay-to-win items but also hints at the ability to purchase in-game currency that can then be used to purchase crafted items. The studio also confirm that it will be offering an optional subscription and a battle pass, although its still unclear what benefits players will get from them.

Players will also be able to buy and sell items from an in-game auction house where baseline prices will automatically be set by the system. They’ll also be able to purchase cosmetics and pets, as well as extra bag space to make farming a less tedious affair.

The video below is in no way a definitive guide but it should give you at least some idea of what to expect ahead of its release sometime this year.
