Tencent Confirms Tarisland Second Closed Beta Test In November

Tencent is gearing up for another closed beta test for its not-a-WoW-clone MMORPG, Tarisland, later this year. The second beta test has been confirmed for sometime in November in the Americas, Europe, and Asia and promises “richer content” for both the PC and mobile versions of the game.
The Chinese publisher is also working to add new servers and multi-language support for English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Russian, which will presumably be added in time for the upcoming playtest.
Meanwhile, the team is focused on further optimizing the game, with emphasis on improving graphics quality, addressing lag on mobile devices, and decreasing resource usage on PC. Camera movement was also apparently a big issue during the first beta test, an issue that the team is currently working to fix.
“We’re aware that some of you have run into issues with the camera movement and target locking, which have hindered your gameplay,” Tencent acknowledged. “To remedy this, we’re planning to put in a series of user-friendly features to lower operational difficulty and improve your precision and smoothness.”
“For instance, we will add smart target-switching function, helping you to quickly pick priority targets in combat,” they added. “Also, we’re adding a feature for healers to fast pick the teammate with the least HP by changing their shortcut key settings.”
We’ll let you know as soon as Tencent locks in a solid date for the second closed beta. Stay tuned!
