Tarisland’s New Design Goals Makes Raid Gear More Desirable Than Crafted Gear

Tencent has waded through all of the feedback received from the last Tarisland closed beta test and has begun addressing some of the major complaints. The good news is that the dev team is eager to please and have revised their vision for the game again for the third time since beta testing began for the upcoming free-to-play MMORPG.
According to their latest developer video, they’re now working to make raids the star of the show by ensuring that raid drops will always be better than crafted gear, despite the their ongoing efforts to make crafting more rewarding. Several resource trading mechanics, however, will be locked behind a paywall, but it shouldn’t give subscribers too much of an advantage since non-paying players can always grind out raids to obtain better gear.
The developers also touched on the game’s upgrade system, closed beta benefit cards, in-game currency regulation, gear optimization, dungeon restrictions, and more. You can check out the full eight-minute video below. Extremely awkward voice-overs aside, it should give you a good idea of where the game is heading, especially if you're planning to jump in when it launches sometime within the next two months.
