WoW-Like MMORPG Tarisland Confirms Global Release And Pre-Season On June 21

It turns out that Tarisland will in fact be launching next month despite Tencent’s insistence that the June launch window shown in mobile app stores was merely a placeholder. After over a year of teasing, previews, and testing, the World of Warcraft-like free-to-play MMORPG will finally be launching on Friday, June 21 on PC, as well as on Android and iOS devices.
The announcement comes in the form of a new trailer and a new dev blog that offers a rundown of the features and content that will be available in the launch build. That includes a pre-season with five dungeons, eight raid bosses for 10-player groups, PvP arenas, and various PvE instances like the Arcane Realm, Dark Invasion, and Universal Hall. The launch build will also feature swappable talent trees and gender-unlocked Mage and Paladin classes, with other classes following suit in subsequent updates.
Meanwhile, Tarisland’s final technical test is now live and will run until June 30 on both PC and mobile. Tencent is also hyping up the game’s launch with a pre-registration campaign and a guild recruitment promotion with exclusive titles and a rare pet up for grabs.
