Tencent Asks Tarisland Players To Vote On What Type Of Crafting System They Want

Tarisland continues to evolve as Tencent continues to work on updating and revamping various gameplay systems in preparation for the MMORPG’s release. One of the systems that the studio is currently working on is the crafting system which is being expanded based on player feedback.

“Crafting is a crucial component of Tarisland, designed to enrich the gameplay and foster social interaction among players,” says Tencent. “In previous test[s], we identified that the current Crafting system is a little simple at present, which needs to be further expanded and deepened. Therefore, we plan to enhance Crafting system to improve the related gaming experience.”

The team is asking players to weigh in on what format they’ll be using for the crafting system. The first option is to introduce a talent tree that will allow players to unlock different crafting perks such as lower energy costs and fewer material requirements. The second option is to implement a specialization system where players could choose an area of crafting to specialize in, like manufacturing or gathering, and gain bonuses for in their chosen area.

Votes are still open on the Tarisland Discord channel, although it isn’t exactly clear whether Tencent will act on those votes or if they’re simply gathering suggestions.
