Tencent is getting the Tarisland hype train rolling in preparation for the fantasy MMORPG’s next closed beta test next week. In preparation for the playtest, the studio offers fans and would-be testers a preview of one of the game’s raids and its Warrior class.

The raid is called the Battle of Ancash and will pit 10-player groups against a boss known as Aslow the Shadow Witch. “As a Doomsday Apostle, Aslow has mastered the use of dark power,” Tencent teased. “During the battle, she can manipulate souls and cast spells to diminish the adventurers' combat power. When caught in an unfavorable situation, she can even rip the earth apart by summoning the power of the Abyss.”

The raid will open its doors a few days after the beta test kicks off on November 15th which should give testers time to gear up for the fight.

As for the Warrior, it basically follows the same blueprint as other off tank melee classes in your run-of-the-mill MMORPG. Players will have the option to specialize in one of two class trees: Rage and War Shield. The former grants players access to dual-wield skills for maximum damage output, while the latter leans more towards the standard sword-and-shield tank build. The new preview video below should give you a good idea of how the class works.
