Tarisland Previews The Snow Lion Race And Its Mighty Barbarian Warriors

Tencent continues its Tarisland race and class reveal series with a new preview video that shines the spotlight on the Barbarian class that hails from an ancient race of lion people called the Snow Lion Clan. They inhabit the ice plains of the north and are a highly intelligent and generally peace-loving race but are also extremely skilled in combat.

“The Snow Lion Clan is physically more robust than ordinary lions, with strong muscles, sharp teeth and claws, and has honed top-notch combat skills and strength,” says Tencent. These qualities are what make them excellent tanks who can also deal insane amounts of melee damage. They’re also useful qualities when you’re a Barbarian who’s tasked with protecting the tribe.

“The Barbarian is the bravest warrior of the Snow Lion Clan, and also the hero and protector in the hearts of the clan members. The power of the Barbarian comes from the totem of the Snow Lion Clan – the Ice Giant and its Lightning Beast.” These totems allow them to harness the power of ice for the Frost specialization and lightning for the Thunder specialization.

The Barbarian’s Frost spec focuses on damage mitigation and self-healing while the Thunder spec is all about fast and hard-hitting attacks. Barbarians can also employ various support skills to taunt enemies, slow them down, interrupt skills and attacks, and remove crowd control effects.
