Submerge's Kickstarter Canceled But Development Continues
You may have noticed that Submerge's Kickstarter was canceled last week after only reaching about half of its goal. Unfortunately, the game did not raise enough money on Kickstarter this time. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I've followed up with Thomas Schneider, the main interviewee in our interview with Icebird Studios, and have received confirmation that the team plan to work on the game without funding from Kickstarter. He had this to say; "Concerning the further development of Submerge: We still develop Submerge and will release it. Without the Kickstarter it might take a little while longer, or we might decrease our initial features/contents. However, we'll still be very active developing Submerge. The very positive feedback we received at Gamescom in Cologne makes us believe that the Kickstarter didn't fail because of the game itself."

So development will continue, albeit setting release back to a little bit after their initial plan of Q4 2016. For those that have access, weekly playtests will continue at 5 PM UTC every Friday, as well, for the foreseeable future.
