Street Fighter V Release Date Revealed

Capcom's upcoming Online Fighting Game, Street Fighter V, has released details on their official launch date and post-launch content plans. The confirmed release date for the next generation of the classic fighter is slated to be February 16th in North America and Europe, but six post-launch characters have already been announced to come out within the same year.
Unlike its predecessor, Street Fighter V will utilize smaller but more frequent content patches to keep the game fresh. The previous incarnation, Street Fighter IV, released massive content patches (around once per year) and featured a sampling of new characters. The new game is taking a more modern approach with quicker updates that are free for all players and utilize in-game currency to purchase new content. Microtransactions will also be available for those who want to pick up the latest and greatest without having to go through the rounds of farming in-game currencies and daily "quests"— as players will be able to pick up Zenny for real world money.

The game will also feature character leveling (similar to Heroes of the Storm) and will give players bonuses in in-game currency for learning new fighters and mastering ones they are familiar with.
Recently, the game has also unveiled two new fighters— one new and one familiar. Dhalsim is making a return, and a new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter, Laura is making her debut!
