case you missed it, Spellcraft, the real-time battler from One More Game, had its first alpha test, a.k.a. Preseason 1, at the beginning of April. With testing now complete, the developers are taking feedback on board and planning their next moves for the game's testing rounds.

One of the biggest changes made in response to player feedback was the removal of the "bleed" mechanic, which had been a part of the game's design for two years. Turns out, it was too powerful and created an unfair advantage, so the devs nixed it entirely.

The first alpha test was primarily focused on 1v1 battles, but the next test one will introduce a team-based mode, allowing friends to team up and play together. The team notes that while they're considering a return to 1v1 battles at some point, Spellcraft was always meant to be a social game to be enjoyed with friends.

The next public alpha test, Preseason 2, is slated to begin during the Steam Next Fest from June 19th to June 26th, but there will be smaller tests for existing players before then. The devs admit that this is an ambitious timeline, so they'll keep everyone updated on any changes.
