Colony Sandbox MMO SEED Kicks Off Its Next Prototype Playtest Tomorrow

After Klang Games received a sizable investment from blockchain company Animoca Brands back in July, we still don’t know whether it will be adding blockchain features to its colony sandbox MMO, Seed. What we do know is that the studio will be running several playtests over the next few months, with the first one starting tomorrow.
Klang is now accepting sign-ups for the 100-player playtest which will be running from tomorrow until September 30th. Players can also look forward to two more playtests this year, one in October and another one in December. The studio will be kicking things up a notch and are looking to invite up to 500 players for the December playtest which will be the colony-building MMO’s largest playtest yet.
Meanwhile, Klang Games has rolled out various updates to the game’s audio in response to a survey sent back in February. “During the survey, two groups of players were shown the same video with different sounds and asked for their perceptions,” the studio explained. “Through the survey we got some great feedback on Seedling sounds, ambient sounds, and sound effects. All of these great observations helped us decide what direction our development will take.”
