SEED Developer Suspends All Communication Due To Legal Issues With Sugar Daddy Dating Site

Klang Games has been slapped with a cease and desist order on any communications and marketing related to its upcoming colony-building MMO, SEED. Weirdly enough, the legal issue currently being faced by the studio was brought on by a seemingly unrelated company, New Life Ventures Inc., which is apparently the owner of the sugar daddy dating site, sugardaddie.com.

It’s worth noting that Klang Games is in fact owned by a similarly named company called New Life Ventures (newlife.ventures) although the complainants on file clearly indicate the corporate name and address of the dating site owners (newlifeventures.com). It’s highly unlikely that the corporate names and addresses got mixed up somewhere down the line and it looks like the two companies are entirely separate entities, although it might have something to do with the company names being exactly the same.

Whether there was a mix up or not, we won’t be hearing from Klang Games until they can get the issue sorted out. “Until further notice, Klang Games is to cease and desist from any public mention of or promotion of SEED and all related enterprises on any channel,” the studio announced. “We would like to remind you that New Life Ventures is the true and sole owner of anything related to SEED.”

“This is just a temporary interruption and we’ll figure this out in no time,” the studio added on Discord. “Discord will stay up, we just need to be a bit more careful about what we share for a bit. All is well!”
