RuneScape Rewards 20-Year Subscribers With A Gaudy Cape, Buffs Several Familiars
Jagex is giving RuneScape players who have been subscribed to the game for 20 years a little something to thank them for their undying support in the form of a 20th anniversary cape. The cape might be a little outlandish for some of you, but hey, it’s free and you get to flex just how much you love the game.
“Membership – and the concept of Runedays – were only introduced on the 27th February 2002, so this year will be the 20th anniversary for some of our long-term committed players. We thought it would be nice if you long-haulers had a snazzy Cape to equip.”
Along with the double-X cape, this week’s update will also buff lesser-used familiars to bring them up to par with the Ripper Demon. Familiars that will be getting a much-needed tune up include the Blood Reaver, Hellhound, and the Kal’gerion Demon. The update also comes with several bug fixes and in-game improvements.
