RuneScape Restores Final Wave Of Accounts, Kicks Off ‘Awesome April’ Event Series

After more than a month of working on the now infamous RuneScape login lockout bug, Jagex has finally welcomed back the final wave of affected accounts.

“Almost all affected accounts have now been returned to the game,” tweeted Jagex. “A small proportion of accounts require additional attention before we can restore them, and Aftercare will still be necessary to resolve outstanding issues for some of you.”

To make the month even more awesome, the devs will be running a month-long series of events that will give players a chance to catch up on their progress, starting with Skilling Week. The event will run from now until April 19, boosting XP gained from gathering by 50%.

“As we've said before, we're committed to making things right again after the Login Lockout put our regular update schedule on hold,” said the devs. “To that end, we're making April especially awesome - a month-long extravaganza featuring weekly events where you can catch up on skilling, combat, and more!”
