RuneScape Devs Still Working To Restore Locked Out Accounts, Weekly Updates Resume Next Week
The RuneScape dev team is still hard at work restoring all accounts affected by the Login Lockout bug earlier this month. The team is now on their third week of damage control and the first week of the Account Integrity Review beta test. Selected beta testers should have already received invites through their registered email.
The issue also threw a wrench in the studio’s weekly update cadence which has been suspended indefinitely as they worked on the more pressing issue of fixing accounts. Jagex, however, is once again looking to resume their weekly updates starting Monday next week.
The March 29th update will kick off the annual Spring Festival and the previously revealed Pi-Mas combat improvements. Players who won’t be able to login during the festival because of the ongoing issue needn’t worry as Jagex has promised to include any missed item rewards in a “Welcome Back” package as compensation.
💎 Game Updates - Since the Easter event is time-specific, we will be releasing this Game Update next Monday.
If we don't have you back in game by the time the event starts, we’ll include any missed items from the event in the welcome back package to make up for that lost time.
