Redfall Devs Say The Vampire Co-op Shooter Is Their Most Ambitious Title To Date

One of the studios that made an appearance at QuakeCon 2022 earlier this week was Arkane Studios who’s currently working on vampire co-op shooter Redfall. If this is the first time you’ve heard of the game, Redfall is a four-player first-person shooter set in Redfall, Massachusetts, a small island town that’s been overrun by psychic vampires that have blocked out the sun and pushed the waters back to give them access to an all-you-can-eat buffet of human blood at any time of the day.
The game promises customizable weapons and characters and an open-pathed mission system that offers multiple options of completing scenarios apart from just spraying oncoming hordes with automatic fire which sets it apart from other co-op shooters like Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood, or Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
Arkane showcased a 21-minute video at QuakeCon where the dev team talks about all of the above-mentioned features and how they brought the vampire shooter to life, which they tout as their most ambitious project to date.
Redfall is expected to arrive on PC and Xbox sometime in the first half of 2023. In the meantime, you can check out the full QuakeCon presentation below.
