E3 2021: Bethesda Unveils Redfall, A New Open World Vampire Co-op FPS From Arkane Austin

It looks like co-op shooters are making a comeback as Bethesda Softworks announces their own addition to the genre during the Xbox + Bethesda E3 2021 showcase yesterday. Redfall is a new vampire-themed open world co-op FPS that’s currently being developed by Arkane Austin, the same studio behind the Dishonored series of games, several Wolfenstein games, Prey, and Deathloop.
“The quaint island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors against diabolical enemies threatening to bleed the town dry, choose your hero from a diverse roster, grouping up with others to create the perfect team of vampire slayers.”
Redfall is slated to arrive in summer 2022 and is one of the first games that will be exclusive to PC and the Xbox family of consoles following Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda earlier this year. The game will also be available at launch as part of an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
