Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Coming Next Fall With "A Brand New Online Multiplayer Experience"

It's finally happening. Just over an hour ago, Rockstar Games officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2 via Twitter. What's more, the game isn't that far away; a "fall 2017" release date is cited. An official trailer will be released on October 20th to get us hyped for what could be an impending release.

While we wait for the trailer to be released, the following quote from the official website gives us a little bit of information about the game.

Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

Could we be getting a Wild West-themed Grand Theft Auto Online experience? Could the presence of not one or two, but seven people in the teaser image imply some form of co-operative gameplay? I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, we'll know more once the trailer is released this Thursday.

Unfortunately for PC users, the game has only been announced for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at this time. While it could later make its way to PC, we should all keep in mind that the first game never did.
