Origins Of Malu's Tentative Patch Schedule Announced

Origins of Malu's Big World version is back online—sort of. There are a lot of details that need working on and several major systems that need added or fleshed out. The first time around, the Big World version reached the highest percent completion out of any of the game's various versions, but it was not quite complete. Over the next few months, the team at Burning Dog Media is going to work towards making the game a fully featured free-to-play sandbox release. Over the course of development, wipes will be occurring, but they promise to do their best to announce them in advance.
The current state of the game is outlined as follows. AI is a bit out of sorts due to several different systems being in place. Art is slowly being updated to reflect the improvements made in the Unreal Engine 4 version. New characters start with 2000 Credits. Every race has access to all Tier 1 abilities. Stats and armor work in basic form, although weapon stats are currently experiencing issues. Weather systems are working with minor issues with transitions. Points of interest are in-game, but they are quite far apart. Players can build "almost anywhere" and all Tier 1 housing pieces are down to 1 credit a piece. The economy is in, but "basic right now."
Over the next two weeks, several major issues will be worked on. Combat speed and projectile physics will be improved. Health pools for NPCs and characters alike, as well as spell distance and lock-ons, will be rebalanced. AI will be made stronger. Basic story arcs should start appearing. Jumping out of water will currently make you fly—they intend to fix this. Item prices will be "normalized." The Account Registration site will be improved.
The following two weeks will focus on new content. The crafting and resource gathering systems will be slowly introduced. New content will be added to existing systems. Gameplay will continue to be balanced.
The developer who posted this, TK, says that he has "a habit of being to overly optimistic" and notes that Burning Dog are still "a very small development team with limited resources." This list is very tentative, but he promises that they "will do [their] best to keep in touch and be honest about [where] [they] are at."
