Old School RuneScape Announces King Of The Skill Event
It seems everyone wants to latch on to the Battle Royale craze. Even Old School RuneScape (OSRS) has gotten in on the fad with an admittedly unique event. During the month of November, players will be able to participate in a brand new competition: King of the Skill.
Starting on November 1, 2017 players will be able to access special King of the Skill servers. These servers act as normal servers but with the following changes:
- There is no grand exchange.
- All accounts are Ironmen.
- There is 10x XP for all XP rates including XP lamps and quest rewards.
- You will only be able to log in to these servers for a maximum of 24 hours game play in the month of November.
- You will see a counter on screen of how much of the 24 hours you have remaining
At the end of November, the top players in each skill will win a special prize, with runners up winning Premier Club packages. Rather than competing to be the last man standing, RuneScape's King of the Skill is a (timed) race to see who can accumulate the most XP in each individual XP, and who can accumulate the most total levels across all Skills. Teamwork is dissallowed, and can get players disqualified. For those unaware of what restrictions Iron Man imposes on characters, here they are: An Iron Man cannot trade, stake, receive PK loot, scavenge dropped items, nor player certain multiplayer minigames.
