Newest Playable Character "Sou" Launches in Vindictus

Vindictus, the free to play action MMORPG from Nexon, is welcoming a new hero to its roster. Sou, also known as the "Night Raven," is a master swordsman joining the fray with a unique combination of speed and strength. His introduction to the game is not just about adding a new character; it's an entire experience that includes a special winter event packed with rewards and new challenges.

Sou's backstory is as intriguing as his combat skills. After triumphing over the Son of Heaven in the eastern continent, he now ventures west, brandishing his dual swords, the Kodachi and Odachi. These weapons are not just for show; they enable Sou to execute a flurry of rapid and powerful attacks. His signature move, "Shattered Sky," is renowned for its versatility and devastating effects.

The character’s combat style is both dynamic and strategic. His core skill, "Distant Horizon," allows for quick, slicing attacks with the Kodachi and potent upward strikes with the Odachi. Additionally, Sou's arsenal includes skills like “Road to Ruin,” “Soaring Dragon,” and “Ascension,” each maximizing the potential of his dual swords to deliver perfect combos.

To celebrate Sou's arrival, Vindictus is hosting the “Sou Celebratory Package” event. This event is a treasure trove for players, offering formal wedding attire and special level-up boxes. These boxes, available to new characters and those below level 30 until February 27, accelerate player progression with valuable items like AP Capsules and Premium Armor Fusion Runes.

In addition, until March 26, players will enjoy extra experience, ability points, enhanced Expertise Proficiency, and faster Crafting Speed. Boss battles on weekends and holidays offer an additional Evil Core, and Golden Time Coupons open up an exclusive Exchange Shop for more rewards.

While Vindictus is an oldie, it launched in North America back in 2010, it still regularly gets updated by Nexon. It's also one of the few games, let alone MMOs, built on Valve's Source Engine.
