New World Has Apparently Delayed Some Key Updates In Its Q4 2023 Roadmap

The unveiling of New World’s fourth season, Eternal Frost, earlier this week has been marred by the apparent delays of several promised features and content. During the announcement, Amazon revealed an updated roadmap that was conspicuously missing key items that were included in an earlier version of the open-world MMORPG’s Q4 2023 roadmap.
Among those that have been removed from the updated roadmap are new story quests, season trinkets, new heartrunes, seasonal territory wars, and cross-realm arenas. Cross-realm expeditions was also missing from the list although Amazon did confirm that the feature will be coming in Season 4.
However, it’s worth noting that roadmaps aren’t necessarily set in stone and Amazon was able to and intends to deliver most of what it promised in the earlier roadmap. They even added a few extra things including updates to the mutation system and loot improvements.
As for Season 4, it’s set to begin on December 12th, promising new story quests, a new level 65 expedition, new artifacts, and improvements to the Looking for Group system.
