New World Delays Eternal Frost Update But You Get To See Scot Lane As A Muppet

Christmas has been stolen from New World players, not by The Grinch, but by an unexpected issue with the open-world MMORPG’s Eternal Frost update. The update was supposed to launch yesterday but has been delayed indefinitely while the developers work on a fix.

“Unfortunately during the final rounds of testing we discovered an issue with Eternal Frost that remains unresolved,” developer Amazon reported. “Our team is working hard to address the issue and deliver this release as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The update in question was set to kick off holiday festivities in Aeternum with the return of the Winter Convergence event. It was also set to introduce a new seasonal narrative featuring the infamous Silver Crows and a Knight of the Round Table, as well as the new Glacial Tarn expedition and a handful of new artifacts.

There’s still no timeline for the update’s release but we’ll let you know as soon as it hits the live servers or if its delayed even further.
