Lord Of The Rings Online Starts Testing Update 35 On The Bullroarer Server

Standing Stone Games has begun testing Update 35, its first major update of the year, on the Bullroarer test server. Dubbed The Return to Carn Dûm, the update introduces a new fellowship dungeon, two new small fellowship dungeons, and the new Gwathrenost raid.
“After suffering countless setbacks and defeats, the last remnants of the Iron Crown have returned to Carn Dûm, hoping to wield a lost artifact of the Witch-king of Angmar to win dominion over the Free Peoples of Middle-earth. Aid the Hill-men of the North and their allies in the fight to cast off the Iron Crown once and for all!”
To join the fight against the Ice Crown, players must travel to Bail Avarc in Angmar via the stables of Rivendell and the Stable Masters at Gath Forthnír and Esteldín. “Bail Avarc can initially only be accessed via stable-master routes, but in the future, other options for Swift Travel will be available for barter from the Stewards of the Iron-home,” said Standing Stone.
The update will also arrive with various adjustments to various gameplay systems and mechanics that the developers have been working on for quite some time now. These include separating mastery calculations from other damage modifiers, a full balance review of the existing damage mods, and the previously-announced overhauls for the Captain and Warden classes.
The team has also started testing the controversial power revamp which will give players access to a bigger power pool but at higher power costs. Additionally, fate will no longer boost in-combat power regeneration but will instead affect out-of-combat regeneration and the total power pool.
Standing Stone Games has yet to announce a release date for Update 35. For now, you can take it out for a spin on the Bullroarer test server. You'll find the full patch notes on the Lord of the Rings Online official forums.
