Lord Of The Rings Online Delays Forester Crafting Event Again To Fix Desync Issues

Standing Stone Games has once again postponed Lord of the Rings Online’s first ever Combe Forester crafting event as they continue to work on a fix for the desync issues that caused it to be delayed in the first place.
The issue apparently didn’t rear its ugly head during internal testing but popped up once the event hit the live servers. The good news is that the team has already worked out a way to fix it and will provide a more in-depth explanation when the update hits the Bullroarer test server.
“Apologies, the function in live situations often differs from the more controlled environments we have. I know the solution that I need to use now. It’s a bit heavier handed but should rectify the issues.” said Lead Systems Designer Allan “Orion” Maki. “I’ll keep you up to date. Once the fix is in, verified, and hopefully added to a Bullroarer, I’ll provide a post that explains, the what, why, how, and where behind the issues happening with the event. I think it will be good to peel back the curtain a little, to expose the web we weave when building something like this.”
For the time being, the new Mariner class is now up for testing on the Bullroarer test server for those who want to take it out for a spin.
Combe Forester Event Postponed
Due to an issue where the event's timing is getting out of sync on the live game worlds we are postponing the event. We'll get this issue corrected and bring the event back in the near future. #LOTRO
