Loftia Outlines Ongoing Work On Gameplay Systems And Backend Upgrades

Qloud Games offers up its first Loftia monthly progress report where it talks up some of the things that they’ve been working on over the past month. Dev Update #1 details ongoing work on the Kickstarted cozy multiplayer game’s core gameplay systems, including item salvaging and recycling, cooking, and the addition of an early version of the NPC friendship system.
The team also outlines new and upcoming user interface features like a quest progress window, a logbook, and a crafting UI. Backend systems also received some love with an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.3, Hathora integration for easier server deployment and scaling, Linux support, and data-driven tools that will allow the developers to quickly add new content and gameplay systems.
Unfortunately, there’s still no timeline for when testing will begin for the in-development title, but Qloud Games promises to keep the community up to date on their plans and any new features or changes that will be coming to the game.
“[…] While it might be difficult for us to share everything right now, trust that our team is working hard to deliver the best gaming experience we can build,” the studio concluded.
We’re so excited to present Loftia’s FIRST devlog!! 🎉🥳
