Cozy solarpunk MMO Loftia is getting a lot of attention on Kickstarter as it nears the $500,000 mark with 22 days left in the crowdfunding campaign. Over the past week, backers have unlocked a total of seven stretch goals with more goals being added as pledges continue to pour in.

The latest stretch goal to be unlocked is the Part-Timer system which will allow players to take on additional jobs at the café, bakery, or boba shop. They’re basically minigames that will revolve around running errands, cooking, and serving meals. The system itself will be a variation of the advanced cooking system that was recently unlocked when the total funding hit the $400,000 mark.

Meanwhile, developer Qloud Games has summarized a recent Q&A livestream into a handy PDF document. The Q&A offers more information on various gameplay mechanics and systems including housing expansion, the thrift store, and multiplayer content. The team also revealed plans for an early access release on Nintendo Switch in 2025 and standalone pledge tiers that will be sold on the official site once the Kickstarter campaign comes to an end.

Qloud Games is also running a fan-art contest on the Loftia social media sites. Participants will have until August 21st at 11:59 p.m. PDT to submit their entries using the hashtag #loftiafanartcontest. The top 30 entries will move on to the next round of judging where the Discord community will get to vote for their favorites. The final voting period will run from August 22nd to August 26th at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

The top 10 submissions will be featured in the Loftia official art book and will get a Whale Turbine Plushie and a Kickstarter Art Pack Tier. Contest rules and details can be found here.
