Latest RuneScape Newsletter Details Solak Scaling, New Demon Pet, And The Ninja Team’s Return

The RuneScape weekly newsletter has just arrived! This week, Jagex talks about difficulty scaling for Solak, a new pet, and the return of The Ninja Team.

First on the list is Solak. The boss monster fight will now scale its difficulty depending on the number of players in the group. Since Solak came out in 2018, the encounter was previously only available in 2-man and 7-man modes. Now, players can form a group of any size to take down the powerful corrupted Grove Guardian. A number of quality-of-life improvements have also been made to the actual fight which includes the removal of defense animations to make the fight look smoother and a right-click option to instantly start the fight. In addition, Merethiel’s Cleanse can now be activated instantly once the fight enters Phase 2.

Next up is the new Nipper Demon pet. These demonic pets have a 1:30,000 chance to drop from Ripper Demons and a 1:1,000 chance from Elite Ripper Demons. If you’re thinking about farming the pet for profit, you can kiss those plans goodbye because Jagex says that the Parasitic Orb drop and the Nipper Demon pet itself is untradeable. But, the new pet works as a familiar override so you can still show off your new demonic buddy to the world.
