Last Epoch Devs Are Working To Fix Multiplayer Issues And Add Player Towns

Last Epoch, a Diablo and Path of Exile-inspired time-travelling roguelike, has finally introduced multiplayer functionality nearly four years after it launched into Steam Early Access.

The feature, however, is still in beta testing but now allows up to four players to form a party to explore the online ARPG’s grim and gloomy world. Mobs have also been updated to scale according to the size of a party along with the addition of item gifting and loot instancing. Keys and mastery quests have also been updated to work with parties as they do with solo players.

Don’t expect to run into other parties or players in combat zones, but you’ll be able to eventually interact with them in player towns in the future. The team is also working to iron out the kinks in multiplayer, including party creation, chat linking, and stash issues.

Do note that Last Epoch is a buy-to-play game with a $29.99 price tag. It’s received “Very Positive” reviews on steam though so it might be worth spending a few bucks on, despite the recent review bombings related to trading issues.
