Indie Multiplayer RPG Swords ‘n Magic And Stuff Launches Into Steam Early Access

swords n magic and stuff campfire bannerKickstarted indie multiplayer RPG Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff has just launched into Steam Early Access. The cutesy chibi-style game features a single massive zone that players can explore by themselves or with friends through co-op multiplayer.

Sword ‘n Magic and Stuff started out as a dad’s pet project for his daughter and wife which then evolved into a full-fledged multiplayer game. He and his wife then turned to crowdfunding earlier this year to help fund the game’s development, pay the bills, and put food on the table as they worked full time on the game. They managed to raise over $79,000 through Kickstarter, blasting through their initial $22,000 goal, and unlocking every stretch goal along the way which includes a new race, an Archaeological Society, bug catching, and a Nintendo Switch release.

The current build includes questing, combat, mounts, and basic gathering mechanics with more to come in future updates. Developer Kindred Games promises to release a development roadmap in a few days. The game comes with a $19.99 price tag and is expected to stay in Early Access for about a year or two.
