GWENT Redesigns Player Progression, Gets Ranked Play

GWENT's Closed Beta began a mere two months ago, but it's never too early for a complete redesign of player progression, right? The latest update introduced a whole new system of progression in which player progression is measured by both crown halves, which are earned by winning matches, and experience points that are awarded based on how well you do in a match.
The update also introduces "over a few dozens of new cards," some of which have "animated premium versions," and ranked play. There have been no announcements of plans for a competitive season, but the rank cap is currently 15 and there is a leaderboard that shows off the top 1000 players.
