Gwent's "Public Beta" Begins May 24th

Following the end of Closed Beta registrations last week, CD Projekt Red announced today that Gwent's Public Beta is set to begin on May 24th. The Public Beta will be preceded by two days of maintenance, after which it will be available to everyone on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

All Closed Beta progress will be wiped before the Public Beta begins. In order to reward those who played quite a lot of Gwent during the Closed Beta, the following rewards will be handed after the Public Beta begins.

  • Every Card Keg you purchased — we will return you the amount of Kegs you bought with real money.
  • Card Kegs for Player Levels — starting from level 5, you get 2 Kegs every 5 levels.
  • Card Kegs for your rank — 2 Kegs for each rank.
  • All end-season rewards.
  • All items granted as gifts from CD PROJEKT RED (like the gift premium Geralt card).

CD Projekt Red Development Director Benjamin Lee had the following to say about the announcement.

Public Beta is the next step in the game’s development process, one that we’d be honored to continue alongside everyone who’s been with us thus far. It’s also a chance for many new gamers to play GWENT for the first time and we’re looking forward to making the game even better with their help.

Those who would like an early look at Gwent's Public Beta can watch CD Projekt Red provide an overview live on its Twitch channel today at 12 PM PDT / 3 PM EDT.
