Fortnite Takes Building Out Of The Equation In Its New ‘Zero Build’ Game Mode

When Fortnite first launched in 2017 the popular shooter was initially a PvE game where players would build forts to defend and survive against waves of zombies. A battle royale mode was later added that allowed players to build structures that can be used to access hard-to-reach areas, quickly whip up defenses in a firefight, or build towering sniper’s nests.
Five years later and the team has added a new Zero Build game mode that removes building mechanics altogether allowing players to focus on the important stuff – killing each other and being the last man or team standing.
“Zero Build is a pure test of weapon, item, and traversal ability. […] Without building, all players have the recharging Overshield as your first line of defense in Zero Build. Zip up Ascenders to access Blimps or use Mantling to get the high-ground over your opponents. Don’t forget to Sprint between cover on your way to a Victory Royale!”
Zero Build can be accessed from the Discover page and is available in Solos, Duos, Trios, and Squads modes. Check out the official trailer below for a sneak peek at the new game mode. You can also drop by the Fortnite official site for more details.
