Final Fantasy XI Continues Voracious Resurgence Story Arc Next Month

The Final Fantasy XI team outlines the contents coming to the long-running fantasy MMORPG in the upcoming April version update. The highlight of the patch is the continuation of the Voracious Resurgence storyline which was delayed from March.

“We’re happy to be bringing you Part 2 of The Voracious Resurgence, Chapter 7. We apologize for the delay in getting this episode to your screens. Although there is no scenario battle in this edition, I’m told that mining plays a role in advancing the story, and that the team has actually added some mining points, too. There is also some kind of gimmick to getting the item you need. I’m eager to see how you all proceed with this mini challenge!”

Aside from the mining mini-game, the new story chapter also comes with a new set of Records of Eminence objectives.

The April update will also introduce new A.M.A.N. Trove equipment rewards which will have slightly different attributes compared to other previously released items and gear. The team will also be adding a new way to trade Mars and Venus orbs so that players don’t just dump them from their inventory. The Quadav and Beast Battles will also be returning as next month’s new Ambuscade rotation.
