Final Fantasy XI Adds New Ambuscade Battles, Delays New Voracious Resurgence Content To April

For a game that’s basically in maintenance mode, Final Fantasy XI sure is getting a lot of content drops. Headlining this month’s update are new Ambuscade battles featuring a battle against Antica and a slightly reworked version of the Treant battle.
“For the treant battle, we’ve made a couple adjustments to the mechanics and lowered boss HP to make the fight a bit less of a brick wall,” explained Square Enix.
The team has also opened up the previously blocked-off Crawler’s Nest and added new Exemplar and Job Point monsters in the area. There’s also a handful of quest, mission, item, and system-related updates.
Unfortunately, Chapter 7 part two of the Voracious Resurgence storyline, which was supposed to launch with the March update, has been delayed due to last-minute bugs. It’s now scheduled for release in April.
