Empyrion Gets Dedicated Servers

In true survival game fashion, Empyrion: Galactic Survival has received dedicated servers as part of Pre-Alpha 4.0. In addition to providing a server that can—theoretically—run 24/7, the introduction of dedicated servers is bringing with it the end of the "playfield limitation" era in Empyrion. Players no longer have to gather together and travel to another "playfield" together. Each player can individually fly into space or to another planet and leave the others behind, should they want to.

In the future, various PvE and PvP modes are being added. Right now, all servers are full PvP due to a lack of permissions. Ownership permissions and factions are also planned
