Elite Dangerous Rolls Out More Thargoid War Quality-Of-Life Improvements

Frontier Developments continues to push out improvements and address issues in Elite Dangerous as Update 14.02 hits the live servers. The patch introduces new quality-of-life features for Update 14’s which include the addition of new information to help players better respond to the ongoing Thargoid invasion.

The galaxy map now shows the top five systems ranked by progress state to help players decide on which system will benefit more from their help. On the subject of the war effort, players will now be able to turn in certain salvage items to push back the invaders. New anti-Xeno conflict zones have also been added and unidentified Thargoid signal sources will now appear in Thargoid-controlled systems for you to investigate.

The weekly system resets for locations where players have managed to push back the Thargoid threat has also seen some significant changes. Rebooting Odyssey settlements will now speed up their recovery, repairing markets will instantly set a system’s recovery time to one week, and the system progress bars now show more accurate indications that no further help is required.
