Elder Scrolls Online’s Scribes Of Fate DLC Now Up For Testing On The PTS

Last week, ZeniMax Online Studios took the wraps off Elder Scrolls Online’s next major story arc, Shadow Over Morrowind, which will send players to the Telvanni Peninsula in Morrowind and Apocrypha, the Oblivion realm of forbidden knowledge. That’s happening in June with the launch of ESO’s Necrom chapter.
To set the stage for the chapter’s release, ZeniMax will be rolling out a new dungeon DLC as they’ve done so over the past couple years. The upcoming DLC, called Scribes of Fate, won’t be arriving until early March but players can now take it out for a test run on the public test server along with its accompanying free base game update, Update 27.
Scribes of Fate will come with two new four-player dungeons – Bal Sunnar and Scrivener’s Hall – and the prologue quest for Necrom, dubbed Eye of Fate. “In Bal Sunnar, you’ll help the Psijic Order investigate and contain a strange power emanating from a mysterious township,” teased the devs. “In Scrivener’s Hall, you’ll fight your way through the twisted acolytes of the Scribes of Mora and confront their villainous new leader, Valinna.”
Update 37, on the other hand, will add new PvP item sets, a new house, and new furnishings, and introduce various quality-of-life improvements and balance changes for both combat and the classes themselves.
One of the more noteworthy quality-of-life improvements coming to the fantasy MMORPG is an adjustment to several daily and weekly timers so they’ll coincide with the daily login timer.
The Scribes of Fate DLC is scheduled to arrive on PC on March 13th and on consoles on March 28th, while Necrom goes live on PC and consoles on June 5th and June 20th, respectively. The full PTS patch notes can be found on the Elder Scrolls Online official forums if you fancy giving it a look-see.
