Echo Of Soul Closing In China

Echo of Soul is going through tough times. First, it was announced that Echo of Soul would be closing in its home country, Korea. Then MMOSite reported that they had received an email stating that Aeria Games themselves had assured them that the closure of the Korean servers would not affect their service of Echo of Soul. Nvius, the developers, would still be providing updates to the game. Now, a mere three days later, ChangYou have announced that their servers will be closing after not updating the server in three months.

Due to the fact that a reason was not given, it is easy to jump to the conclusion that this has to do with the closure of the Korean servers and that the Aeria servers will be next. Given the short amount of time between their assurance that that is not the case and this announcement, however, we should wait for an official comment from Aeria on the matter.
