Dungeon Defenders II Hits PS4

Dungeon Defenders II has officially hit PS4. Trendy Entertainment's free-to-play follow-up to Dungeon Defenders went into pre-alpha—despite the PC version being in alpha now—on Sony's current gen console today when the Playstation Store updated. With the release comes clarity about how the PS4 version is priced until the official free-to-play launch.

Dungeon Defenders II - PlayStation 4 Pre-Alpha Launch Trailer

Like its PC counterpart, Dungeon Defenders II PS4 requires a starter pack to be purchased in order to be played. The starter packs are priced $14.99, $24.99, and $74.99. For a limited time, to celebrate the launch, they are on sale for PlayStation Plus members for the prices of $11.99, $17.49, and $52.49, respectively.

For the time being, the PS4 version also has two PS4-exclusive features; split-screen local multiplayer and controller support. These are planned to come to the PC version at a later date.

The PS4 and PC versions are planned to stay relatively in sync in terms of updates. Some updates will be staggered but not all.
